Somatic Healing
Body-based practices that start from physical sensation and work with the tension you carry.
Starting from the body
Somatic work starts with physical sensation rather than the story attached to it. Where is the tension, what is its shape, and what happens when you stay with it for 30 seconds.
The order is deliberate: the body first, and the story after.
When understanding is not enough
Understanding where a reaction comes from does not always change the reaction. Somatic practice comes at it from the other side, through sensation rather than more explanation.
What the practice involves
Slow attention to sensation, small deliberate movements, and pauses.
This work can surface difficult material. Doing it alongside a qualified therapist is the right call if there is trauma history in play.
